System requirements

Node.js 22+ — The only hard requirement. The installer can install it for you (Homebrew on macOS, NodeSource on Linux). Older Node won’t cut it.

OS — macOS, Linux, or Windows via WSL2. Native Windows is untested; use WSL2 and follow the Linux steps.

Optional:

• pnpm — Only if you’re building from source.
• Docker — Only if you want Docker (containerized gateway or sandbox).
• Git — Required for --install-method git; often needed anyway for some npm deps.
